Day 1: Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Kitulgala
Upon your arrival at Colombo International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative and whisked away on a scenic 2-hour drive to Kitulgala. Prepare for an enchanting evening as we embark on a bird watching trail in the village, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of Sri Lanka.
Day 2: Exploring Kithulgala
Start your day with an early morning bird watching trail, where you’ll have the chance to spot endemic bird species and fascinating reptiles. After breakfast at the campsite, continue your bird watching adventures with an evening trail in the village, capturing the diverse avifauna of the area.
Day 3: Transfer to Udawalawe National Park
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we’ll journey to Udawalawe National Park, a drive of approximately 3 ½ hours. In the evening, get ready for an exciting safari at Udawalawe, known for its resident elephant population and diverse wildlife.
Day 4: Safari at Udawalawe and Transfer to Bundala National Park
Rise early for a morning safari at Udawalawe, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness the park’s iconic elephant herds. Afterward, we’ll transfer to Bundala National Park, renowned for its rich birdlife and wetland habitats. Enjoy an evening safari, spotting a variety of water birds and rare species.
Day 5: Full Day Safari at Yala National Park
Today, we embark on a thrilling full-day safari at Yala National Park, famous for its “big four” wildlife sightings. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, sloth bears, leopards, and wild buffalo as we explore the park’s diverse ecosystems and landscapes.
Day 6: Bird Watching in Tissa Forest and Transfer to Colombo
Indulge in a serene bird watching trail in Tissa forest and the tank, soaking in the tranquility of nature. After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll transfer back to Colombo, reminiscing about our memorable wildlife experiences along the way.
Day 7: Departure from Colombo
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before we transfer you to Colombo International Airport for your departure, approximately a 1-hour drive. Bid farewell to the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Sri Lanka, carrying cherished memories of your adventure with Raban Taxi and Tours.
